Empowering women to be Syrian journalists
Zaina Erhaim has studied journalism in the UK and worked as a journalist in England for two years before returning home to Syria in 2011. Upon finding that most journalists and citizen journalists were men, she decided to educate women in this sphere. After performing some training sessions, she realized that all women mostly did not have any experience in journalism. To keep a diary, engage with all kinds of people on the street and find the right story. Zaina has been teaching them to be bold, brave and build their own capacity for reporting with the use of the internet. Click here to watch the full story.
